Description

Patron of the Art Edition "Sir Henry Tate".

The most important patron of British art was a successful sugar trader: Sir Henry Tate. Born in Lanca-shire in 1819, this industrialist used his negotiation skills and innovative spirit to build a sugar empire out of a small business.

The fountain pen is characterized by clear, tectonic shapes. An inspiring source is the neoclassical architecture of Tate Britain, a museum funded by Sir Henry Tate.

Geometric lines made of streling silver, a platinum-plated body and ring ornamentation on the cap reflect the characteristic elements of the museum building style. By contrast, the cap and barrel are inlays with guilloche red lacquer and an ivory Montblanc star at the top of the cap.

18 kt gold nib, engraved. The fountain pen has a nib that can be hidden into the body with a knob located in its upper part.

Fountain pen for ink cartridges only.

Limited edition of 4,810.
