Fountain Pen Patron of Art Homage to Napoléon Bonaparte Limited Edition 888
Description
Patron of the arts Montblanc A tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte is dedicated to a figure in history whose life has had a far-reaching impact.
Napoleon is famous primarily for his military achievements, but he was a true patron of the arts. His glory lives on in the great "architecture parlante" of famous Parisian buildings built during his reign. Under his leadership, apart from architecture, other arts such as painting, sculpture and decorative arts also developed.
The overall design of the pen is inspired by the neoclassical style. The golden bee pattern on the deep blue lacquer is inspired by Napoleon's throne at Fontainebleau, and the sword clip is worn by the Napoléonic "N". The engravings on the top of the cap - a laurel wreath, an imperial crown and an eagle - refer to Napoleon's coronation insignia. The tip of the clip is decorated with a red stone resembling the coronation ring of Napoleon Josephine's wife. The ferrule is crowned with the Montblanc Emblem in mother of pearl.
In tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte, the handcrafted 18K solid two-tone gold nib bears a portrait of Napoleon with a typical bicorn.
The Patron of Art 888 is limited to 888 pieces worldwide.
