Description
Napoleon is mainly remembered for his military achievements, but he was also a true patron of the arts. His glory continues in the grand parlante style of the famous Parisian buildings erected during his reign. In addition to architecture, other arts such as painting, sculpture and decorative arts also flourished under his leadership.
This artistic edition of the patron of arts tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte is made of solid 18 ct gold. The overlaid part shows a barrel made of red jasper.
The gold ferrule has a guilloche pattern and engraved ornaments from Napoleon's throne.
The engravings on the cap - a laurel wreath, imperial crown and eagle - refer to Napoleon's coronation insignia. On one side of the cap is a sword clip bearing the Napoleonic "N". The end of the clip is adorned with a red garnet, reminiscent of the coronation ring of Napoleon's wife Joséphine. On the other side of the tag, you can clearly see the bee, the symbol of Napoleon, moving away from the Bourbons' house and merging with the Mérovingiens. The ferrule is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother of pearl.
In tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte, the handcrafted 18K solid gold nib includes the hilt of his coronation sword. The Patron of Art Artisan Edition 92 is limited to only 92 pieces worldwide.
