Description
The masterpiece Around the World in 80 Days Collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel written by Jules Verne. The Doué Classique fountain pen in translucent blue lacquer with a gradient finish echoes the first part of the journey. In it, the main character usually travels on a steamer from London through the Mediterranean Sea and through the Suez Canal to Mumbai. The cap is decorated with a milled pattern showing the most important elements of this story: ocean waves, the colors of the playing cards and a cartridge with a laser-engraved steamer. The length of the trips is marked on the tip of the tag: 18 days from London to Mumbai and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is completed with a hand-made 18-carat rhodium-plated gold nib.
