Montblanc 4810 Homage to Napoleon Bonaparte Fountain Pen
Description
Patron of the arts Montblanc A tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte is dedicated to a figure in history whose life has had a far-reaching impact.
Napoleon is famous primarily for his military achievements, but he was a true patron of the arts. His glory lives on in the great style of "architecture parlante" of the famous Parisian buildings built during his reign. Under his leadership, in addition to architecture, other arts such as painting, sculpture and decorative arts also developed.
The overall design of the pen is inspired by the neoclassical style. The golden bee pattern on the deep blue lacquer is inspired by Napoleon's throne at Fontainebleau, and the sword clip is worn by the Napoléonic "N". The engravings on the top of the cap - a laurel wreath, an imperial crown and an eagle - refer to the coronation insignia of Napoleon. The tip of the clip is decorated with a red stone resembling the coronation ring of Napoleon Josephine's wife. The ferrule is crowned with the Montblanc Emblem made of precious resin.
In tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte, the handcrafted 18K solid gold nib bears a portrait of Napoleon with a typical bicorn.
